In 2007 I visited the 13th century church of St Nicholas and St Cyriac in Southpool Devon. From my readings of Faith's letters reprinted in the book 4 Hewett's Venture North this is the church and town where our forebear Samuel Hewett was born, married, and buried. Records show
that he married in the church 2 April 1700.
